about
Starting my design career in Atlanta, I earned my BFA in product design from Georgia State University. I relocated to London, where I worked for EU design house Designers Guild. Initially drawn to their finished product, I trained in another entity: furnishings & textiles. Trisha Guild, the founder of Designers Guild, is a global industry leader. After 3 years I returned stateside to their American division in Manhattan, managed by another giant in home design, Osborne & Little. There I worked w/some of the most well known interior designers in the US on show homes, set designs, print media, & homes in landmark buildings.
All the while, I continued my education with graduate coursework at Central Saint Martins in London and The New School in New York City. Again focusing on finished product design such as housewares and textile pattern allowed me to meld my BFA with my corporate experience and develop my own product designs.
Simplicity, washes of color, & eclecticism of coastal design; melding these elements w/the logic of urban living is the most satisfying part of my work.
My goal when starting my own firm is to provide high quality, functional furnishings with a European sensibility. My urban influences continue in my work thru well-planned use of space & uniqueness.
